BRACIS, STIL & KDMiLe 2026 – Research, Collaboration, and Awards

It was a pleasure to participate in BRACIS, STIL, and KDMiLe 2026, three major Brazilian conferences in Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, and Data Mining. Our research group contributed with several papers across the events, showcasing our ongoing research and collaborations.

This edition was particularly special! Gabriel Assis, advised by myself, received third place in the AI Dissertation Contest, and our joint paper with ICTi was awarded third place among the best papers at KDMiLe 2026.

I also had the honor of serving as Program Chair of STIL 2026, alongside Ariani Di Felippo. It was a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the Brazilian NLP community and celebrate the excellent research being conducted across the country.

Congratulations to all our students and collaborators for their achievements, and many thanks to the organizing committees and everyone who made these events possible!
