Visit from the Consulate-General of Japan to IC/UFF

We had the pleasure of welcoming Kayo Yoshida, Consul for Economic Affairs at the Consulate-General of Japan in Rio de Janeiro, and Rebecca Souza, Economic Affairs Advisor, to the Institute of Computing at UFF. During the visit, we presented our institute, graduate program, and ongoing research in Artificial Intelligence, including efficient LLM training, AI for finance and social well-being, ethical and sustainable AI, extreme rainfall prediction, citizen-centered AI, and diffusion models for engineering applications. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives and explore future research collaborations between Brazil and Japan.
